AdvaNShield® Stabilised Nitrogen is Nitrasol’s production-incorporated protected nitrogen solution, designed to extend nitrogen availability in the soil while reducing environmental losses.
Field-scale studies across the UK and Europe show that AdvaNShield® delivers measurable results across nitrogen efficiency, emissions reduction, and crop performance. By improving nitrogen stability and availability, growers can reduce losses, improve uptake, and maintain application flexibility during difficult spring conditions.
The proven result:
AdvaNShield from Nitrasol Liquid Fertilisers brings cutting-edge stabilisation technology directly to your farm, extending nitrogen availability in the soil while reducing environmental impact.
Our patented solution uses a water-soluble polymer based on Verdesian’s NutriSphere-NL to bind critical soil elements like nickel, copper, and iron. This binding action slows down bacterial conversion processes that waste nitrogen – meaning less volatilisation, less leaching, and more nitrogen for your crops.
It’s an invisible layer of protection working naturally with the soil, leaving no residue, and causing no harm to soil fauna or beneficial microbes.
AdvaNShield® integrates with Nitrasol’s liquid fertiliser systems and compatible nitrogen programmes.
Improved nitrogen stability helps reduce nutrient movement through the soil profile.
Helps reduce ammonia losses to the atmosphere during spring application periods.
Extended nutrient availability supports crop uptake across key growth stages.
AdvaNShield® uses NBPT urease inhibitor technology to slow the rapid conversion of urease nitrogen after application. In untreated UAN, nitrogen can begin converting to ammonia gas soon after it reaches the soil surface, especially in warm, dry, or windy spring conditions. That can reduce the amount of nitrogen available to the crop before uptake begins. NBPT temporarily slows that reaction, helping keep nitrogen in a plant-available form for longer.

Up to 54% less nitrous oxide emissions contribute to cleaner, more sustainable farming practices while supporting Net Zero targets.
Reduced ammonia volatilisation means less nitrogen lost to the atmosphere and better air quality outcomes.
Fewer applications with greater effectiveness help save time, labour, and input costs.
Improved nitrogen use efficiency supports stronger crop growth and better return on fertiliser investment.
No compromise on yield. No compromise on flexibility.
